Welcome to the 2024 season and our chase to once again dominate the Bonneville Offroad Racing (BOR) season points. Spoiler alert: We are already crushing it.
The car is dialed in. Our only problem keeping us from winning currently is belts breaking. We have a plan to address that but we will need to see if it is effective come the next race. So, I will keep this update brief so you have time to watch some of the in-car videos below. Lap one. We lost a belt. Lap Three. The skid plate fell and funneled dirt into the cockpit. Hacked it off. Lap 4 through 8 were heaters that took us back to within 12 min of the win and into 3rd place. Looking at the number, we would have been easily in contention for that top spot if we had not lost the belt and the skid. Oh well, as they say, that’s racing. I was winning till I wasn’t. Every racer has that story, and this is just another one in a plethora of almost heroic moments for us 😀
